We are committed to engaging in research which will improve communities energy sustainability. Some of the projects that we are participating in include:

Rathlin Sustainable Island Network: commissioned by Rathlin Sustainable Island Network, with the support of Invest Northern Ireland to carry out a comprehensive Scoping Study which will map out the potential future of sustainability and renewable energy on Rathlin.

Valentia Island H2 Feasibility Study: commissioned by Valentia Island Development Company with the support of South Kerry Development Partnership CLG to investigate the feasibility of community owned hydrogen energy (H2) opportunities in Valentia Island.

GENCOMM: Generating energy secure Communities through smart Renewable Hydrogen (Associate Partner)

SEAFUEL: Hydrogen in Island Transport (Partner) SEAFUEL

IDEAS: Novel building integration designs for increased efficiencies in advanced climatically tunable renewable energy systems (Partner)

Smart Micro Grid Tallaght (Partner)

The creation of a local test bed that enables people and organisations to work together within a target area (Smart Grid Cell), to develop the balancing and flexibility capabilities that can be built on to enable ever increasing levels of renewable energy and improved Grid Stability at the same time.

Green Hysland (Associate Partner)

GREEN HYSLAND aims to deploy a fully-functioning Hydrogen (H2) ecosystemin the island of Mallorca, Spain, to provide Europe with a blueprint for decarbonization of island economies, and an operational example of the contribution of H2 towards the energy transition and the 2050 net zero targets.

HUGE (Associate Partner)

Raising awareness of the use of green hydrogen as a viable energy vector for remote and rural communities in housing, transport, and industry.
