21st October 2015: 12 Newmarket, Dublin 8.

As part of Convergence Festival, there will be a one-day seminar in Dublin on 21st October 2015 to discuss the benefits of community-owned renewable energy. The seminar will be addressed by Brendan Halligan, former chairperson of the SEAI, Dara ó Maoildhia of Comharchumann Fuinnimh Oileáin Árainn (Aran Islands Energy Co-operative), ICOS, Friends of the Earth, MEGA as well as Cormac Walsh of Energy Co-operatives Ireland.

Questions that will be discussed are

  • How to get more community energy projects up and running?
  • What are the obstacles?
  • How can these be overcome?

Attendance at the seminar costs €15. There will be lunch and refreshments available from the Food Co-op Café.
